Steel Angle Alloy Options
Angle iron is available in several unique alloys. Each alloy provides its own quality features to deliver your project's specifications. Steel angle increases strength, weldability, and durability for construction and architectural applications. The different types of angle iron include:
Angles, which have a wide range of uses and are named in two different categories as equilateral and unequal according to their measurement shapes, are manufactured using hot rolled raw materials with S235JR (ST37), S275JR (ST44) and S355JR (ST52) qualities.

Galvanized angle bar provides a lower-cost alternative to stainless steel, offering rust-free protection for several decades. Galvanized steel provides comparable strength and durability to that of stainless steel alloys at a fraction of the cost.

Project requirements will dictate the angle iron thickness needed for your job. The weight, force, and torsion required should be considered when determining angle iron thickness. It is essential to remember that the structural steel angle is strongest above the vertical section of the structural shape and the strength of the angle iron comes from the length of the L-shape.
